Though we do not recommend or endorse practitioners in your area, we can put the "shout out" for them. Just go to the page “Who Are You Looking For” and fill out the form. We will put the request on our site. We will notify you when someone posts on the site for your modality!

PRACTITIONER FAQs
I am trying to sign up but the drop downs arent working/something isnt working, what am I doing wrong?
Due to so many different browsers, security settings, and cache permissions on each persons computers, these problems exist from time to time. If this happens, we apologize for the inconvenience. Do us a favor and open the site in another browser (Firefox, Internet Explorer) and try again. If that doesnt work, please email us, let us know what exactly isnt working. If we cant figure it out, we can always sign you up manually.
GETTING LISTED
How do I get listed?
Go to "Get Listed" and choose the listing type that you are wanting. You will choose basic, premium, or premium plus. Then choose practitioner, places, or products.
How many listings can I get?
We offer one free listing with one business name and one phone number. You will pick your business or personal name, with one set of credentials that has to do with your listing, with one phone number in one city.
Can I have more than one free listing? Can I list in more than one city?
If you would like more information listed such as additional modalities, you will want to upgrade to a premium listing which includes your website and your physical address along with your name and phone number. You can choose to be listed under 1,3,5, or 8 modalities in your city. Premium and premium plus listings are always listed above basic listings, in a first come, first serve basis. Once you secure your place, you will never be bumped down by another listing as long you keep your listing.
Can I have a free listing in more than one city?
We allow one free listing in one city, from there you would want to pay for a listing in the second city. This includes a link to your website and would be help even more to connect to people in your area. Being able to have people go to your site allows you to stand out even more than just your name and number, and will pay for itself easily.
What if I want to change my listing?
After you sign up for your initial listing, you can change it any time. Simply log into your account, click on "Manage my Listing" on the upper far right, and edit your information as needed.
What if I forget my password?
Simply go to the login box and click "Forgot Password". It will automatically be emailed to you at the address that you used at registration.
What if I can’t sign into my account?
Try to retrieve your password in case you have annotated it incorrectly. If that doesn’t work, then email us with the name and city that you are listed under, username and password that you are using. We will look into it and let you know what the error is. (90% of the time we are just using the wrong username or password…we all do it!)
BASIC LISTINGS
What entails a free or basic listing?
List under one holistic practitioner category or one holistic place category.
Limit one per person, per business name, per phone number, in one city.
If you have more than one modality or place that you want to display, you will want to get a premium listing. You can list under 3 ,5, or 8 modalities or up to 3 holistic places. This includes your website link so everyone can see what you have to offer and who you are.
What are the rules for free or basic listings?
1. One business name- either personal or business title (not both)
2. Just your name with the appropriate certification for your listings. No other modalities or certifications are allowed.
We cant allow this listing under massage therapy- Jane Doe, LMT, aromatherapist, reflexology
or this under holistic mental health practitioners- John Perry, LMHP, hypnotherapist, EMDR certified
(If you want to display additional modalities, please upgrade to a premium listing)
3. No web sites in name
(If you would like to display your website link, you will want to upgrade to a premium listing)
What's the difference between a basic listing and a premium listing?
A basic listing is your business name and phone number. This listing is free. A premium listing also includes your physical address and website link so that people can learn more about your services. With this listing, you can choose to be listed under one or more categories. Premium listings are listed above basic listings.
If I have a premium/premium plus listing, do I get a basic listing as well?
No, your basic listing will automatically be replaced with your paid listing. You can upgrade your listing(s) at any time so that you may be listed under more than one modality.
PREMIUM LISTINGS
What are the benefits of a premium listing vs a basic listing?
1. You get your website listed so people can learn all about you and your services. Prospective clients are usually going to contact those that they can see their website rather than having to call. Having a website listing saves you time and money so you spend your client time working on clients rather than explaining your services.
2. You get prime position and exposure. Premium listings are listed above all basic listings, not alphabetical, but on a first come, first serve basis. You secure your spot and will never be bumped by another listing that may come first alphabetically. This is the perfect reason to get your premium listing early.
3. It shows your clients that you invest in your business and understand the law of attraction. You put energy into standing out and marketing, people pick that up and want to do business with you. If you don't want to spend money on a listing and showing your services, how do you expect people to pay you money for your services? What comes around goes around. Let your money work for you...
4. Listings start at only $6.95 per month, less than $70 per year. This is less than one session for most of us. Listings easily pay for themselves.
PREMIUM PLUS LISTINGS
What's the difference between a premium listing and a premium plus listing?
A premium listing includes your business name, physical address, phone number and website link so that people can learn about your services. Premium plus includes all the things that premium does, plus you get a website that fits your needs. Premium plus listings are listed above both basic and premium listings.
CITY LISTINGS
My city isn't listed under my state. Can I still be listed?
Yes - we have major cities in each state listed. Our focus was to develop the largest 10-15 cities in each state, this in itself took over three years to develop! We will continue to add cities as they are requested and as we expand. For now, if you live in a smaller city, choose the closest and/or biggest city near to where you practice.
Will you be adding my city in the future?
Over time, we hope to have most cities in our listing. Right now as we are developing we are adding as the need is shown. If you are interested in having your city considered, put the word out to your fellow practitioners. If we have a group of people who are wanting a city, we will try to get it on the site for you. Sending us the population and showing a need for a listing will help expedite the process.
Why don't you just have all the cities listed?
One of the reasons for creating this site was that there were a lot of directories that had every city listed, but had little or no listings in them. After lots of analyzing and working with experts, we realized that visitors would visit them once, but not return to these sites as they did not find them to be valuable resources. Many didn't stay around long because they couldn't stay high enough on the search engines or somehow couldn't sustain themselves. So we decided to spend the time and energy to really concentrate on the bigger cities. We contacted practitioners, promoted locally, and worked hard to gets lots of listings in these areas first before trying to do little in a lot of areas. This is how we drive lots of consumer traffic and get high on the search engines. We have seen that this approach will secure the site's longevity and allow greater success for those who list with us!
MODALITIES
How did you choose which modalities to list?
We took a lot of time evaluating which modalities fit best across the United States (which was no easy feat!). Some modalities are popular in some areas of the country but may not exist in other areas. We did our best choosing the main categories of each type of healing practice.
How did you decide to categorize the modalities?
We categorized so that consumers who are trying to find you can find you. After a couple years of fine tuning and listening to the public this is the system we chose. However, we know that trends and public needs can change, so please feel free to send us your suggestions.
What if the modality that I want isn't specifically listed?
If yours isn't specifically listed, please pick "other..." for your category.
What is the beneft of listing in the "other" categories?
The "other" categories generally get more hits than the specific categories. This is mainly because people may be familiar with the other categories or practitioners but almost everyone is curious to see who is listed under the "other" categories and what their business names are. It especially behooves you to get a premium listing in these categories because so many people are interested in new and different kinds of holistic healing work that they haven't heard about...they will want to check out your website!
GETTING A WEBSITE
What’s the price of a website?
Our websites start at just $19.95 per month, which includes the $6.95 price of a premium listing. Thus, you are actually paying $13 a month to have an easy and professional solution to your website needs. We wanted to give holistic practitioners a more viable solution for their needs.
How do I get a website?
Click on "Get a Website" on the left ruler bar. You will be able to view all the set ups, colors, and pictures available of our websites. You can add your own pictures too. We are constantly updating the available choices and you can change at any time!
What is the difference between HHG's websites and other websites?
We wanted to give holistic practitioners affordable and professional options that are easy to set up and easy to use. We made templates that allow you to add or change colors, layouts and pictures as much as you want. You get to be the web designer without any knowledge of web design. If you know how to type a word document, then you can make your own website. You get to have total control over what it says and how it looks...and you don't have to pay through the nose for it!
What are some of the things that I can do on my website?
Visit “features of a website” to see all that you can do on our websites. It’s pretty amazing what we were able to put together for you! We are confident that we have the best websites available for the price. We made them just for you to meet all of your needs.
Can I get my own domain name? Absolutely. You will need to go to a domain provider (we like godaddy.com) and purchase a domain name. They are usually less than $10. Then follow their directions as to how to “forward” your domain to your new website.
How do I find my website?
Enter www.holistichealingguide.com/username (whatever name you chose) in the browser search bar.
How do I log in to my website?
Click the 'login' button on your website. If you are using the top menu template, the login button is located on the right hand side just below the website's menu. If you are using a side menu template, the login button is located in the upper right hand corner just below the image. After clicking the login button, enter your username and password.
How do I edit my website?
Upon purchasing, we will send you a guide to learn the basic, intermediate, and advanced (use at your own risk) website development and editing.
Can you help me get my website seen on the search engines?
We have the best experts in the field on our team to teach the amazing science and rules on how to boost's your search engine optimization (SEO). We have lots of resources and E-books in our Practitioner Business Support Center to give you this knowledge in an easy to use fashion.
How can I optimize my website so it can rank higher?
We can help you set up easy to use software to analyze your site's optimization so that you can see everything that goes on within your site. You will be able to see exactly how many visitors you have, how they found you, what keywords they put in a search engine to find you, what pages they visit, how long they stay on your site, and much more. How do I contact you? Why don't you have a phone number listed?
As an internet company, to best serve you we do everything via email as its the most efficient form of communication. There are many reasons for this:
--Different people in our company are experts in different areas, we will forward your issue to the person that can best deal with it, they will contact you asap.
--Some of your issues may take some time to research, we want to contact you when we have the right answer that can really help!
--As a creative lot, a lot of our contractors work weird hours, you might see an email come through at 3 am because we are workaholics and/or inspired!
--We know that you have questions outside of regular business hours
--Many of our contractors work out of the office, a lot of us work from home in our pajamas so that we can best assist you and make the site what we know it can be!
--And remember, most of the times that you are calling customer service, you are getting someone from a call center who doesnt work directly with the product. We want you to get the best, most consistent and correct answer from those who have their hands in it day in and day out!
